This article describes how to enable the
SharePoint Meeting Manager Workspace in other languages than English or German. If you have problems using the Meeting Manager in English or German, please
read this article. It will help you to understand how the Meeting Manager integrates in SharePoint Language files.
The following chapters may describe ways to modify SharePoint files on your own. Please check these changes carefully in a test environment ! These changes may be undone by any update, hotfix or Service Pack.
I can't see the SharePoint Meeting Manager site in my language. What can I do?
When you create a new Website as a Subsite, you can select the Tab for Meetings. You'll normally find five Templates in that Tab. With Meeting Manager, you should have a 6th Template.
To activate the Meeting Manager Template for your language, you can open the WEBTEMP.XML file in
"%COMMONPROGRAMFILES%\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\Template\<lcid>\XML" on every web front end server in your farm. <lcid> is the language code for your installation. You can find an
overview of all language codes on this website.
In the "MPS" Template section of WEBTEMP.XML you can add this Configuration node. The Meeting Workspace will be configured in English.
<Configuration ID="5" Title="Meeting Manager Workspace" Hidden="False" ImageUrl="/_layouts/images/Layer2/MeetingManagement/MeetingManagementTemplate.jpg" Description="This template creates the SharePoint Meeting Manager workspace provided by Layer2. This workspace offers additional features like minutes management, template based reporting, role based permissions etc." DisplayCategory="Meetings" SubWebOnly="True" ProvisionAssembly="Layer2.SharePoint.Meetings.MeetingManagement, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=5aa2b7e0fd8b40f5" ProvisionClass="Layer2.SharePoint.Meetings.MeetingManagement.Provider.MeetingManagementProvisioningProvider" ProvisionData="" />
