Activate the Farm Feature! After successful deployment there is a new farm feature available. To use it, the feature „SharePoint Meeting Manager by Layer2“ has to be activated in the SharePoint Central Administration by a Farm Administrator. Go to Operations and select Manage Farm Features:

Fig.: Activating the SharePoint Meeting Manager feature
When you click "Activate" a one-time Timer Job is created. This Timer Job modifies the WebTemp.xml and adds the Meeting Manager Template as MPS#5. The Timer Job needs about one minute to complete. You can watch the status in Central Administration -> Operations -> Timer Job Definitions.
When the Timer Job is finished an IIS-reset has to be done. This is neccessary, because the available Templates are cached and the cache is cleared by an IIS-reset.
To check, if the Meeting Manager Template was registered correctly, you can open the WEBTEMP.XML file in "%COMMONPROGRAMFILES%\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\Template\<lcid>\XML" on every web front end server in your farm. In the "MPS" Template section you should see this Configuration node (for LCID 1033):
<Configuration ID="5" Title="Meeting Manager Workspace" Hidden="False" ImageUrl="/_layouts/images/Layer2/MeetingManagement/MeetingManagementTemplate.jpg" Description="This template creates the SharePoint Meeting Manager workspace provided by Layer2. This workspace offers additional features like minutes management, template based reporting, role based permissions etc." DisplayCategory="Meetings" SubWebOnly="True" ProvisionAssembly="Layer2.SharePoint.Meetings.MeetingManagement, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=5aa2b7e0fd8b40f5" ProvisionClass="Layer2.SharePoint.Meetings.MeetingManagement.Provider.MeetingManagementProvisioningProvider" ProvisionData="" />
