The Layer2 Tag Navigation Web Part for SharePoint displays taxonomies of managed metadata, terms, enterprise keywords or social tags right from the SharePoint term store as additional hierarchical, tree-style navigation.

Layer2 Tag Navigation Web Part for SharePoint - Overview

The Web Part offers an additional content navigation to browse the corporate knowledge hierarchically - cross site-collection and independent of the content store's structure. Terms or tags can be linked to tag profile pages, hashtag profile pages, Wiki pages, any custom pages or directly to the tagged content via search. The output can be customized using flexible XSLT-based templates, static and dynamic (for larger taxonomies).

The Web Part goes far beyond the out-of-the-box metadata navigation features of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013, where pages can be assigned to each metadata item manually. Please note, that a flat alphabetical (A-Z) Tag Directory Web Part is available as well.
